Etched in Stone

Held in words, our feelings go  

Thoughts we have and what we know

Words left unsaid have value too

Time comes along, brings words anew 

What's been said is etched in stone

Juggling

I thought love was like bowling

With gutters and strikes 

The ball comes back

But it's really more like juggling

We toss desires up

While hoping to catch another 

So much going on at the same time

Don't miss or it hurts!

Smash a toe

And look like a fool 

But smile and wait for applause 

You're styling 

When it's finally successful 

Luxury

The greatest luxury 

Isn't found in excess of pleasure

It isn't found in objects that wear out 

What brings the most satisfaction

A treasure of unmeasurable value 

Is to have the person on your mind

Also thinking of you.

I turned my mind to the past 

Nothing lasts, it went too fast 

Tried to see on down the road 

It's dark and cold, so I'm told

The time arrived 

The time to turn the page

It made perfect sense

There had been enough rage

There is a crazy love 

Dancing in the stars

Bids us come along 

While playing on Lyra

We're having so much fun 

Dancing to its tune 

It makes us feel alive

As we soar with Aquila

No need for light of day

We never get too tired

We sound so beautiful 

A quartet with Gemini  

A slow dance with the swan 

Serene and beautiful

With Sygnus we can swoon

Then smile till we cry 

We stayed with Praecepe

And then off to Aldebaran 

Then hold each other close

Until the stars are gone. 

Awakened

What it means to miss, no mortal can define

Two lives held apart, meant to be be combined 

Its not a want for sympathy, but being understood 

More than just a touch, but sharing something good. 

Thoughts become an echo, unless they can be heard

A heart is set at ease, by the magic in a word

And eyes do have a way, in quiet yet they speak

A pool where two can swim, awakened from their sleep.
